The Bełchatów Power Plant generates approximately 18% of Poland's electricity. The power plant currently operates 12 units, including 11 units commissioned in the years 1981 - 1988 and a unit with a capacity of 858 MW, commissioned for commercial operation on October 1, 2011. The Bełchatów power plant has an almost 72% country's lignite-based electricity production. This is why it is so important to take care of the power plant's proper functionality. Work is underway to regulate absorbers 1 and 2 of Block 14 of the power plant, which are supplied by Steuler-KCH Polska. What has already been done? All disassemblies in Absorber No. 1 is done. We remove the old rubber, did the first and second blasting. We repaired the steel (where necessary). Relining of the walls and internal structures is was 80% done. Absorber No. 2 is repaired, stripped rubber lined as well as brick lined bottom. Steel was repaired. Stripping of old rubber on walls and internals structures was done .The first blasting is done, the second one - we're at the halfway point. The work is on and the Steuler-KCH crew is getting closer to the goal!
