By using special solutions within the furnace, it is possible to minimise the cost of additional processing of sintered elements which are produced by powder metallurgy: the flatter the base is when fired, the more even the resulting part will be. Only washers made of ceramic materials provide satisfactory results. Since the sintering aids produced by STEULER-KCH are manufactured using dry pressing technology, their dimensional tolerances are very small.
